Пересадка костного мозга для детей
What is bone marrow transplantation for children?
Bone marrow transplantation is the treatment of children with various types of cancer or other diseases. Purpose T KM - replace the patient with the remaining brain of the child with the other brain. The bone marrow is the spongy material in the center of the bones that forms all types of blood cells, including young blood cells called stem cells. In a bone marrow transplant, stem cells are filtered and then placed back into the same child or another sick child. These stem cells will grow and become new and healthy bone marrow.
Types of bone marrow transplantation in children :
1. Autologous Bone Marrow Transplant:
Your child is his own donor. Stem cells can be collected from your child in two different ways. Stem cells are taken from your child using apheresis. Apheresis is the process of collecting stem cells that float in the blood (peripheral blood stem cells). These cells then return to your child after intensive treatment. Collecting bone marrow. Stem cells are collected from your child using a needle placed in the soft center of the bone. Most sites used to collect bone marrow are located in the hip bones because they contain more stem cells.
2. Allogeneic Bone Marrow Transplant:
A donor is another person who has the same or similar genetic type as your child. This is often a brother or sister. Finding the right donor can be a lengthy process. In some cases, the parent may be the donor. Or, the donor may be the corresponding unrelated donor found in the bone marrow registry. Stem cells are taken from the donor either by apheresis or by collecting bone marrow.
3. Cord blood transplantation
Stem cells are taken from the umbilical cord immediately after giving birth. These stem cells grow into mature blood cells faster and more efficiently than stem cells from the bone marrow of another child or adult. Stem cells are tested, printed, counted and frozen until they are needed for transplantation.
